Nursing Education Advisory Committee (NEAC)-Committee Members
The NANB Nursing Education Advisory Committee (NEAC) is looking for committee members. The purpose of the NEAC is to advise the NANB Board of Directors regarding the standards for nursing education, schools of nursing program review approval status and related outcomes of nursing program reviews.
The ideal candidates would be familiar with the entry-level competencies, current and emerging trends in nursing practice, preparedness required of new graduates, and clinical practice settings and preceptorship experiences. Experience in educational programs, curriculum development and/or program approval/accreditation would be an asset.
The terms of the committee are three years, members can be reappointed one time. In general, the committee meets virtually 3-4 times a year for 1-2 hours.
NEAC has 3 committee vacancies in the following areas:
- Other Health Regulator representative
- Registered Nurse working in hospital, community or long-term care setting
- Public representative
