Meet the Candidates

There will not be an NANB election for 2024, as both Region 5 and 7 were won by acclamation.

NANB would like to thank Sylvie Bernard, Region 5, for putting her name forward for a second term and welcome Charis Lynch as the new director for Region 7.

These positions are effective June 1, 2024.

  • Sylvie Bernard, RN (Region 5)

    Reasons for accepting nomination

    I wish to apply for another term as Zone 5 Board member for the period 2024-2027. I believe that my experience as a Board member, my leadership, my willingness to advance the nursing profession and my commitment demonstrated at Board meetings will provide a great continuity in the transition of the Association's mandate and will have a positive influence on public safety and the future of our profession. In conclusion, I would like to have the privilege of continuing my role as a leader in nursing and contribute to the achievement of the organization's strategic objectives.

    Reason for Accepting Nomination

    I have accepted this nomination because I believe that I can offer the Board a unique perspective as a Nurse Practitioner working in long-term care. I am aware of the challenges and successes facing RNs, NPs, patients, and families in the long-term care setting, and feel this knowledge will be beneficial in shaping the future of NP practice and long-term care nursing in New Brunswick. I look forward to networking with other Nursing leaders and influencing change in our profession.
