NANB Celebrates Excellence in Recognizing Five Remarkable New Brunswick RNs
FREDERICTON, May 29, 2013 — Nurses celebrating excellence in nursing, tonight the
Nurses Association of New Brunswick (NANB), representing 8,900 registered nurses and nurse
practitioners in the province, will host an Awards Gala Banquet at the Delta Hotel Fredericton
recognizing five New Brunswick RNs who have demonstrated advocacy, leadership, and
exceptional contributions in advancing and maintaining the standards of nursing.
This year’s recipients include: Sherry Gionet (Saint John), for Excellence in Clinical Practice;
Liette Mainville (Dieppe), Award of Merit: Nursing Practice; Rose McCloskey
(Quispamsis), Award of Merit: Education; Suzanne Robichaud (Shediac), Award of Merit:
Administration; and Lucille Auffrey (Shediac), recipient of a Life Membership.
“The Awards Gala Banquet provides the Association an opportunity to honour just a few of New
Brunswick’s finest RNs,” says France Marquis, President of NANB. “This celebratory event sets
the stage for an evening of pride in a profession shared amongst colleagues, friends, and
families alike.”
A welcome reception begins at 18 00 with the Banquet starting at 19 00 in the Grand Ballroom of the Delta Hotel.
