NEAC Committee members
Call for nominations to the Nursing Education Advisory Committee (NEAC)
The Nurses Association of New Brunswick (NANB) NEAC is looking for committee members. The purpose of the NEAC is to advise the NANB Board of Directors regarding the standards for nursing education, schools of nursing program review approval status and related outcomes of nursing program reviews. The terms of the committee are three years, members can be reappointed one time. In general, the committee meets virtually 3-4 times a year for 1-2 hours.
- Public representative: an individual who has experience with educational programs, curriculum development and/or program approval/accreditation would be an asset.
- Nurse manager or nurse employer: The ideal candidate would be familiar with the RN Entry-Level Competencies, current and emerging trends in nursing practice, preparedness required of new graduates, and clinical practice settings and preceptorship experiences. Experience in educational programs, curriculum development and/or program approval/accreditation would be an asset.
