Season’s Greetings
NANB Holiday Closure
December 23 through January 2, 2023
A Special Announcement from the Nurses Association of New Brunswick
This holiday season, on behalf of the Board of Directors, we are pleased to announce the appointment of NANB’s new CEO, Denise Leblanc Kwaw. Ms Kwaw will begin tenure at NANB on February 1, 2023. Ms. Kwaw previously worked in New Brunswick as a registered nurse for many years and is returning from various roles in Alberta and PEI, where she has filled the role of Principal Nursing Advisor for the past two years. Other nursing roles include a diverse clinical background, work with workload measurement and work in the private sector. Previous nursing regulatory roles include Registrar (NANB) and registration nursing consultant in Alberta and New Brunswick. Please join us in welcoming Denise Leblanc Kaw as the new NANB CEO.
NANB wishes registered nurses, nurse practitioners, and colleagues a season of peace and health into the New Year. With the rising costs of living and food insecurity top of mind for many individuals and families in our communities, the NANB has decided in lieu of an advertising campaign with Christmas cards, a provincial donation will be provided to NB Food Depot to assist with this serious food security problem. It is our hope that a continued commitment to the health of New Brunswickers will make a difference in persons’ lives this holiday season.
On behalf of the 8,400 nurses, the NANB staff, and the Board of Directors at NANB, may the New Year bring you peace, joy, and good health.
