Elections 2025: Meet the New Board Members!

Congratulations to NANB’s newest Board members, Virgil Guitard, President-elect, Kathy Helpert, Region 2 (second term) and Élaine Albert, Region 6.

All candidates were elected by acclamation. Terms begin June 1, 2025.

The Board and staff would like to thank our outgoing member, Stephanie Roy, Region 6 for her commitment to regulation of the nursing profession in the public's interest.

    Reasons for accepting nomination:

    I am pleased to accept this nomination. The next few years will see us grow as a profession with the implementation of a new nursing act in New Brunswick. My wide-ranging experience, including several years as a consultant for NANB, gives me a good understanding of the issues and opportunities ahead for the regulation of our profession.

    Throughout my career, I have seen many changes in the nursing profession regarding nursing practices and health related issues. I welcome the opportunity to assist with embracing changes that affect the future of nursing and protecting the public. I accept this nomination because I believe that with my experience, I can effectively work with other Directors to influence decisions and make positive changes to support safe, competent, and ethical care in the nursing profession.
