If you are an NP formerly registered with CNNB and HAVE NOT been registered elsewhere, including outside of Canada, since your last active registration in New Brunswick, please refer to these instructions.

Step 1: My Profile

Log into your CNNB profile online. If you are unable to log into your CNNB profile, please contact CNNB at reg-imm@cnnb-opinb.ca, with your registration number in the subject line.

Step 2: Reinstatement Application Form

Complete the Reinstatement application form, which is selectable under ‘Reinstate My Registration’, from your CNNB profile ensuring to select the form for Nurse Practitioners.

If your name has changed since you were last registered with CNNB, you must provide official documentation linking your old name to your new name (e.g., marriage certificate or name change certificate).

Step 3: Verification of Registration

If you are no longer actively registered as a nurse practitioner in Canada, please request a verification from the Canadian regulator where you were most recently registered as a nurse practitioner. To do this, complete section A of the Verification of Registration Form and forward it to the registration/licensing body (a fee may be required by the other regulatory body to complete this form, so please check with them directly).

Step 4: Confirmation of Hours of Practice Form

Complete section A of the Confirmation of Hours of Practice Form and forward a copy to each employer where you have worked during the past three years and arrange for the employer to forward the form directly to reg-imm@cnnb-opinb.ca.
