Canada’s National Day for Truth and Reconciliation: September 30

September 29, 2025   ▪   NANB News & Announcements

In honour of Canada’s National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30, NANB’s office will be closed. This closure allows our staff the opportunity demonstrate our commitment to fostering greater awareness, understanding and respect with Indigenous communities, to reflect on the ongoing journey of reconciliation and build a better future for all. We encourage everyone to take time to engage in meaningful learning, reflection, and community events that honour the experiences and resilience of Indigenous Peoples.

As the regulator of Registered Nurses and Nurse Practitioners in New Brunswick, NANB is committed to dismantle and eradicate Indigenous-specific racism that persists in the health-care system, challenge misconceptions and biases, and ensure that Indigenous people receive anti-racist, culturally safe, equitable, and timely care.

To support this commitment, we invite you to visit NANB’s website to access the Standard on Cultural Safety and our toolkit of resources.
