Step 1: My Profile
Log into your NANB profile online. If you are unable to log into your NANB profile, please contact NANB at nanbregistration@nanb.nb.ca, with your registration number in the subject line.
Step 2: Reinstatement Application Form
Complete the Reinstatement application form, which is selectable under ‘Reinstate My Registration’, from your NANB profile ensuring to select the form for Nurse Practitioners.
If your name has changed since you were last registered with NANB, you must provide official documentation linking your old name to your new name (e.g., marriage certificate or name change certificate).
Step 3: Letters of Good Standing
Arrange for letters of good standing from all regulatory/licensing bodies where you currently hold active registration as a nurse practitioner or registered nurse. This includes any countries outside Canada where you are currently registered, as well as states/provinces/countries where you are currently registered but have not practiced. To do this, complete section A of the Verification of Registration Form and forward it to the registration/licensing body (a fee may be required by the other regulatory body to complete this form, so please check with them directly). If you are no longer actively registered as a nurse practitioner in Canada, please request a verification from the regulator where you were most recently registered as a nurse practitioner.
Step 4: Confirmation of Hours of Practice Form
Complete section A of the Confirmation of Hours of Practice Form and forward a copy to each employer where you have worked during the past three years and arrange for the employer to forward the form directly to nanbregistration@nanb.nb.ca.
